Pittsburgh’s Dutchie Montana is setting a new precedent for the Pittsburgh rap sound. Montana favors more melodic flows that detail his experiences than the usual gun-toting anthems of some of today’s rappers. His new project “Rebirth” is an exhibit of his pain and struggles.
“This tape is different to me because it shows my growth and maturity as a artist. I wanted to show that I can make an album that had different substance than the typical violence and “drug talk. There’s more emotional, heartfelt stories that more people can relate to,” Dutchie explained.
Some songs that we recommend you check out are “Pain”, “Not The Same” and “Zero”. Check out “Rebirth” below!
