Kwad shocks his fans with “King of VA”
The Virginia artist just dropped a single and music video on Youtube that has the comment section going wild. Kwad took a shot at the thriving Drill scene, and his fans are all for it.
Drill music originated in Chicago, with artists like Chief Keef and Lil Durk. It consists of gritty, off beat high hats and loud snares and other percussive elements. The sound soon made its way to the UK, and then Brooklyn where it is currently making noise worldwide.
Although from Virginia, Kwad seemed to hop on the drill beat for “King of VA” with ease. The music video also gives us a Brooklyn Drill feel, with his dance moves being similar to those from the Woo gang, which you may be familiar with after the late Popsmoke popularized them earlier this year.
After the success of this release, I wouldn’t be surprised if we heard more drill music from Kwad going forward. It surely is a dangerous addition to his arsenal. Watch the music video below!
