DS – For those who don’t know you, give us an introduction and tell us a little about yourself. 

BM – My name is Benji Mikel I’m from the Bay Area, and I love transforming experience into sonic art. 

DS – Describe your music in 3 words. 

BM – Atmospheric. Soulful. Intuitive 

DS – What got you into music? What are some heights or goals you wish to reach while on this journey? 

BM – I would say the main thing that got me into music is Michael jackson and also just being heavily surrounded by it as my parents always played a wide variety of image. Some goals are to do a world tour and reach over a million monthly listeners on Spotify and to inspire a large population of people 

DS – What was the inspiration behind your newest record “Special Friend”?

BM – Inspiration behind this track is combined experiences in relationships of me and jtb. Also, the struggle and ups and down of pursuing being an artist 

DS – Any music or rollouts we should be on the lookout for this summer?
