Allyn & jsn. share refreshing project ‘CHROME SOUL’

Virginia-based duo Allyn and jsn. have shared a new EP called CHROME SOUL. Chock full of focused songwriting and vibrant sonics, the EP is the portrayal of the self-reflection we all must undergo during the process of falling in love in order to become better people. This journey follows the joys of a new relationship, letting go of past issues and pains, acceptance of what you truly need, and the focus it requires to continue on in life while staying true to the one you love the most. The project is focused and versatile throughout, drawing influence from alternative R&B, indie, and more.

CHROME SOUL begins with “INITIALIZATION”, a short but engaging intro that introduces the ‘Chrome Soul Intiative’, which is “an experimental journey that is designed to transform you as you progress into your relationship.” The tracklist then details this theme, with “P.O.V.” kicking off the EP strongly with airy, silvery sonics and infectious songwriting. “TEMPORARY” provides a project highlight with glimmering, expansive guitars drifting atop spacey keys and rich, crunchy percussion. Capped off by an infectious chorus, this track is simply addictive. “FORWARD”, one of our favourite tracks from the record, contains flowing, dream-like instrumentation and elegant vocals that captivate throughout.

The latest from Allyn and jsn., CHROME SOUL makes for an infectious, vivid new release that draws influence from R&B, alt-pop, indie, and more.
