Sugie recently released the music video for his underground hit “Ties.” Sugie teased this song on TikTok after it took off as a sound. Listeners became infatuated with the beat and Sugie’s vocals. Considering how fresh Sugie is into his music video career, people would expect “Ties” to look mediocre. But, to viewers’ surprise, the video is just as well done as the song.

To prove that, look at the numbers of his past music videos. Seven months ago, Sugie released a music video for his song “Talking The Loudest.” That song has double the number of views that “Ties” does, but this shows that “Ties” is taking off. In just one day, the “Ties” music video has half of the views of his last. On Spotify, the song has reached over 25,000 plays on Spotify and over 100,000 on SoundCloud, making it his most famous song to date.

“Ties” is a song coming from the Dom Corleo-type beat wave. The song samples the same vocals in Lil B’s “I’m God.” It’s fantastic to see that upcoming artists are still giving a legend like Lil B his flowers and doing their own thing. Sugie capitalized on this wave and put out one of the best songs to come from it. In this current trend, “Ties” is a song that becomes easily replayable. The way the beat immediately hits combined with Sugie’s aggressive commentary and vocals, makes it evident that this song was always meant to be a hit.
