Jxylen shares cathartic new project, ‘DIVINE ORDER: ACT I’
Springfield, Massachusetts artist Jxylen has shared a new project called DIVINE ORDER: ACT I. While he dropped the eclectic, well-received album PROJECT MAYHEM: FIGHT CLUB EDITION late last year, DIVINE ORDER: ACT I takes on a lighter, airier tone as it feels like Jxylen is getting a lot off his chest in a cathartic manner. The project touches base on his relationship with God, healing and growth experiences in life, and does it in an engaging manner through sharp lyricism and potent instrumentation from E.N.G. Creation.
Songs such as “DON’T WAIT” capture the project’s feel and messaging with introspective verses from Jxylen that discuss his trials and tribulations and personal growth, atop ethereal, soulful production. “HEALING FACTOR” makes for a strong offering as well, with focused sonics and vivid lyricism that find Jxylen’s pen game at towering heights. Then, there’s the closer “NOW OR NEVER” that acts as an emotive pinnacle and finishes the record on a high note.
