Rappa Talks ‘Outta Town’ Single With Mac Mois + ‘Trappin’ In Tha Winter Vol. 2’ Album

Rappa has unleashed a fresh set of bangers to kick off 2023.

The Watts-bred producer highlights his versatility in doing so with the release of his nine-track album Trappin In Tha Winter Vol. 2 (TTWV2).

In addition to all new production from Rappa himself, the project includes guest appearances from  artists such as NHale, AD, Santeezy818, NWG Suave, Duke Bin Laden and more.

While speaking with Loading Magazine about the creative process behind the album, Rappa revealed his favorite track from the release and more about how the LP ties into his 2023 campaign moves.

“My favorite track from the project is ‘Outta Town’ featuring Mac Mois from San Francisco because we were really outta town in New York City,” Rappa explains. “I was staying in New Jersey but crossed the Lincoln bridge to work with my boy Mac Mois who was in New York working as well. We tapped in with eachother, I hit up my folks at Platinum Sound Recordings in lower Manhattan, vibed out wit Mois and made two bangers, one drill record and one West Coast smasher which turned out to be ‘Outta Town.’”

Much of the recording process was the same and reflects Rappa’s willingness to experiment with genres and their boundaries. He went on to explain how this project represents his duality as a producer and entertainer all-at-once.

“This LP means a lot to me due to the fact that I haven’t dropped a project in the past year only singles, been focusing on djing right now, Rappa said. “I’m trying to balance out producing and djing so that’s another reason why I decided to drop the project to let people know I’m still in the music game and came strong with features.”
