Today (February 14), Volante released his best song yet. “Lust & Found <3” ushers in a new chapter in the artist’s hero journey, its lush textures and dizzying melodies introduce us to the chaotically colorful world of Volante, a world that welcomes misfits and embraces the unconventional. 

“Lust & Found <3” marks Volante’s second single of 2023 and continues to build hype for his upcoming EP which will supposedly be released before the summer. All of this comes on the heels of Volante’s 2022 album, Escapism, an 18-track rollercoaster ride that finds solace in its ability to bounce from one mood to the next. This new single sees the artist truly coming into his own, filtering the fragmented memories and experiences that make us individuals in order to find the perfect descriptors to place us right in the center of Volante’s thought process, he achieves vulnerability that makes your voice crack as your eyes start to sweat. 

‘Lust & Found <3” slows down time, the grandiose nature of this composition allows for a world to form once you surrender yourself to the track. From the first note until it deconstructs itself and the song drifts away, you are fully consumed by its frantic structure and how the music is able to reshape itself throughout its nearly 4-minute runtime. The idea of fire and destruction are used to describe a rebirth of some sort in the song’s lyrics, Volante paints a vivid picture of his idea of love and how it’s one of the most volatile emotions a human can experience.
