Get Familiar With Las Vegas Native Doan & His Festive New Single, “Insane”
Over the last 5 years, the music scene in Las Vegas has developed at a rapid rate, leading to a bit more regional recognition for some of it’s natives. Hailing from Sin City, rising rapper Doan is one of those artists, as his consistency and attention to detail have solidified him as one to watch in the city. Looking to keep the momentum alive, he checks into our pages for the first time with his festive new video, “Insane.”
Produced by Asaiah Ziv, another notable Vegas artist, “Insane,” is a fun, bouncy record that finds Doan showcasing an elastic and slippery flow that takes charge for most of the song. Rhyming about how this woman is driving him insane, relatable, he also demonstrates his knack for engaging one-liners like, “She like horoscopes and energy, I think I want you to be more than a friend to me.” Perhaps his best quality, though, is his charisma, as both on camera and in the booth. Directed by Monsieur Leisure, the video finds Doan ditching all of the usual rap video gimmicks for a white backdrop that gives him a literal blank canvas to showcase his personality, resulting in a fun, engaging listen.
