dark-net superstar recently released a music video for “LSD IN ASPEN.” In the video, the viewer is taken through a psychedelic-trip-Esque experience. The video switches between real-life and definitely made-up clips and left to wonder what is happening. This ambiguity easily entices viewers and makes them want to rewatch the video repeatedly.
The song and video match each other’s energy perfectly. Dark-net superstar uses a soothing melodic voice on top of this guitar melody and video-game-sounding production. He performed the song in front of a green screen, so cut-outs of him performing randomly show up in front of random clips. The clips used are reminiscent of the early 2000s. Even though the clips seem disorganized, dark-net superstar’s song guides the viewer along this trip which seems disturbing at first but soon eases the viewer’s curiosity.
