Brooklyn Rapper Max Gertler Drops Off His Festive New Video For, “Jesus Cyphs”

Over the last few years, Brooklyn based rap group, Delivery Boys have been gradually making noise and carving a lane for themselves. Boasting well-received collaborations with artists like Riff Raff and Rich The Kid, the duo of Max Gertler and Goldwood have found a sweet spot of being able to thrive together as well as on their own. Looking to further establish his creativity, Max Gertler checks into our pages with his engaging solo single, “Jesus Cyphs.”

Directed by Baby Flex Films, one of the more immediate things that stand out about the video is it’s white canvas back drop. Playing into the Jesus Christ concept by having Max play the man himself, they ditch usual video props like cars, extra people, women or even money, and instead utilize the canvas to bring the best out of Max and his charming persona. It turns out to be a crucial decision as Max exudes charisma throughout the whole video, taking charge and making it a memorable one. Over up-tempo, dance heavy sounds, the production similarly gives Max an opportunity to lean on his strengths, as he showcases an elastic flow that only takes breaks to highlight his knack for melodic progression. Serving as the lead single for his recently released project, “Jesus Cyphs,” is a perfectly crafted showcase for Max to put his abilities on display.
