SRQ Dave Is Back With Another Classic Video, “New Ragazzo”
Since the mid 2000s, Florida has heavily contributed to the sound of mainstream Southern rap with artists like Rick Ross, Kodak Black, XXXTentacion, and many others.
However, instead of following his predecessors, SRQ Dave, who’s a Florida native himself, chose to take a different path on his new track “New Ragazzo“. The song begins with a moody bass line that seems like an entry into the grungy, trap bangers that have dominated the Florida sound for years. Instead, twinkling piano keys flutter on top of the menacing bass and turn the instrumental into a classic New York hip-hop beat. Dave even filmed the video in NYC to add to this aesthetic. “New Ragazzo” is one of our favorites from the week, and it’s featured below!
