Where do we even begin. This 21-year-old Oregon R&B artist just needs to be heard. Singing from the soul with each track he drops. When I first came across this artist I heard “Hollywood”. Which is still one of my favorite tracks by him. Not only does he show you that he will hit a note, but he grabs your attention with the hooks. Similar to how blxst caught the attention of the industry with the consistent music drops and the consistent rifts he would pull off. I see the similar wave with Masonn, but more on the Drake “Take Care” or even “Chicago Freestyle” wave. But diving into his music, you can deftenialy see stand-out people he looks up too. Such as PARTYNEXTDOOR, Tory Lanez, Bryson Tiller, and even Trey Songz. In the R&B world these are some big names and some of the greatest in the current generation. One day I wouldn’t be surprised to see Masonn Deforest creeping up on the well known R&B artists.

This is just the beginning for this artist as well, this was the birth of a new chapter in his career. As he may be still a smaller artist at 1000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Soon he will start to creep up on you. Currently working with Grammy nominated producers, Platinum writers. It will only start to rise from here on. This was just to show you that Masonn is capable of dropping a project without a miss. He wanted to test the waters and show the day 1 supporters that they are in for a great journey.
