Independent record label Inland Epic House are proud to announce the release of ‘heart in the clouds’ by Jimmie Bishop, ZachTheHero in collaboration with Sound of Soma. Jimmie Bishop and ZachTheHero are a duo from Riverside, California who have collaborated on many successful projects. Past releases include their debut ‘The Ark’ and ‘So Far So Good,’ and now their latest, ‘heart in the clouds.’

They decided to collaborate with producer-songwriter Sound of Soma for the 11-track album. This project surfaces a number of influences which have stayed within the West Coast group. From Drake, 2Pac, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Kanye West, Young Thug, Post Malone, Tame Impala, The Weeknd, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Kid Cudi and beyond, they have taken those inspirations and delivered a unique album that transforms the human experience.

“The album tells the story of a tumultuous toxic relationship,” Jimmie Bishop says of ‘heart in the clouds.’ “There’s cheating, distrust, insecurity, being obnoxious, feeling like it’s not going to work out or what’s the point, and ultimately a resolution, reconciliation and a reformation. They decide to make it work despite all of their flaws and uncertainties.” 

A deeply intoxicating collection of songs that are supported by superb rhymes plus incredible harmonies and melodies, the theme of the album is about surviving and overcoming the flaws of a toxic relationship. That journey to support love and its many layers are reflected in the music they create. “They know they love each other, so they are willing to give it another shot,” Bishop continued. “It’s spilling your guts and wearing your heart and emotions on your sleeve. Exploring a different side of our creativity that we haven’t gone to before, us stepping into Soma’s world and him stepping into our world. Soma’s rapping, I’m singing and you got Zach going over Afrobeat tracks.”
