Atlanta’s very own, Ahguhst has just released a banger.  “SKRRT!”, his latest self-produced single, is described by the artist himself as “a melodic alternative hip-hop heartbreak track” and that about sums it up perfectly.  Ahguhst’s autotuned croons float over his beat, which hones in on the typical Atlanta style but adds a twist with guitars and dreamy melodies.

The song will be featured on Ahguhst’s upcoming EP SUPER NATURAL REALITY, a six song effort that will be released on March 3.  According to the artist, “SKRRT!” and the project as a whole have been therapeutic for him, and he wants the same for his listeners.

“The inspiration behind the song is dealing with heartbreak and learning to move on,” said Ahguhst.  “The theme of the album is living life with a supernatural mindset.”

If you couldn’t tell already, Ahguhst has been doing this for a while; his first mixtape ASTRALSURF dropped a whopping 10 years ago in 2013.  But don’t get it twisted, the prolific artist has a lot more up his sleeve for us this year too.

“My next move is rolling out this EP and getting more immersive with the music videos I release for it,” said Ahguhst.  “I plan on dropping two more EPs this year and a full fledged LP next year.”

Ahguhst is clearly a rising star that you need to keep an eye on.  Just like the month, he’s got that heat coming right up.
