HunnitBands Prepares To Release ‘Exotic Strangers’

Mo Mahir, more popularly known as HunnitBands, is the proud son of two Sudanese parents that in their journey, settled to the capital of the United States in hopes of providing better circumstances for their son. With the sacrifices made by his parents, HunnitBands has made the most of his opportunities to make music that’s representative of him and his style.

Growing up in any new place could be an intimidating prospect for young people with parents who are still acclimating to American culture. Particularly in a city as large as Washington, D.C., it can be hard to find a way to stick out. In relation to his drive to pump out great music, HunnitBands states “I do it for all my people who can’t, who don’t have the opportunity whether they be behind bars or back home.” He adds that he would like to make the Top 100 in the future and grow his international fanbase. He recognizes that he has a unique opportunity to inspire and motivate others like him and as a result is working to make a bigger impact on his community.

As he prepares for the release of his upcoming album Exotic Strangers, fans and followers can find more of his work on Instagram, Spotify and Bagdad The Label’s Youtube page.
