Hip-Hop Artist $way Speaks About His Musical Influences
Every artist has a muse. Every musician has a person who is a creative source of inspiration. Recently, Los Angeles’s $way spoke about the hip-hop and rap roots that have helped him grow as an artist and develop his own sound. He revealed, “Some of the greats like Eminem inspire my creative flow and other greats like Lil Wayne and Kanye influence some of the word craftsmanship that I use.” $way began in music around the age of 14 and began his career at 19. Since he has built his fan base off authenticity and storytelling. $way also touched deeper on who he wishes he could work with as an artist explaining, “I would say I want to work with Kanye West because he speaks his mind on the track. No sugar coating or generic bs these other artists are spitting nowadays.” This up-front and honest response is just a reflection of the messages and themes $way raps about and has played a huge role in building his following.
