Zelly Ocho Just Dropped His Project, “VLAD” And It’s GAS
The Cleveland native Zelly Ocho has finally dropped the long awaited and anticipated “VLAD” album. The earliest document of Zelly teasing this album was on April 26, 2019 (even though it was being teased months before), as he continued to do for 7 months until its release on Friday November 20, 2020.
With 18 songs front to back it’s safe to say the tape leaves little to desire. Zelly’s dark sound that he’s been crafting over the years has finally come to light on the first track Going to LA.Other songs that show Zelly’s evil melodies over hard trap instrumentals are: Broken Scene, You Can Too, I Promise, Double Tapped, My Choices, and Me? produced by fellow Cleveland native 16yrold. Closest thing to a love song on the tape would be Greener Grass where Zelly croons about his permanent love interest and the fact she never switched up on him, as he says, “don’t need a wedding ring, she know she stuck with me”. What’s most notable about this album however is how strong it stands without any features. Zelly has spent years staying in his own lane and crafting his own sound, and it’s most definitely paying off.
