Yoharis Drops Evening Themed Self-Produced EP, “The Midnight Element”

Although it’s just four tracks long, Yoharis’ latest EP The Midnight Element is a small sample of what the up and coming R&B singer is capable of.  After years of delaying the release, he decided to take it upon himself to get his creations out for the world to hear.

“I would always push things to the last minute and stress myself out to end up with an unpolished product that I wasn’t proud of,” said Yoharis.  “I realized that I had all these big dreams with no discipline to fall back on once my flame of motivation had burnt out, and then I realized I was done with that.”

The lifelong musician wrote, produced, and performed the entire project, and credits his engineer Jake Wilson for being an integral part of the creative process.  Besides singing, Yoharis plays drums and has been making beats since 2016, and he believes that his hard work has helped him recognize that he can take his passion to the next level.

“I wasn’t going to take it easy on my passion anymore and I was going to make it my mission to create an EP that I had conceptualized the year before,” he said.

The project aims to emulate the experiences that come with the nighttime.  Each track represents a different element of the night, which strikes both an artistic and personal chord for the young singer.

“Throughout my life, I’ve been met with wonderful opportunities to pursue different things and prosper in various hobbies and activities,” he explained.  “I never really put in all the effort I could have and ended up becoming regretful and disappointed in my younger self.”

As for his next moves, Yoharis plans on creating visuals for the tracks that his listeners connect with the most, and he is also looking to perform for the first time and get his songs some much deserved radio time.  However, he believes that consistency needs to be his main focus:

“I believe I have the talent and the skill to reach my own definition of success, but I am my own worst enemy and I have to fight myself every day to improve and stay disciplined enough to stick to my word.”
