YM Has Enough “Pressure” To Move Him “Closer” To Stardom

YM is a blossoming young emcee out of Paterson, New Jersey. He picked up his first microphone at eight years old and has been spitting fire ever since. He began his musical journey performing at talent shows and local events. However, life starting lifing as issues made him put pursuing his passion to a halt. 

Currently, he is living with a bullet inside of him. Determined to keep going, YM took his pain and tunneled his musical career further. With due diligence and willingness to make it, he strives to push his career daily as the next star out of Paterson. He performed at notable venues such as the Apollo Theater in Harlem and other prestigious venues in the Tri-State area. His grind led him to Grammy Nominated musician K-Mack who offered him the opportunity to sign to his label 1801 records. 

Now he has worked with stars such as fellow Jersian Coi Leray. He has been featured on the Herald News’s front page and collaborated with multiple credible A&Rs. On Dj Drewski’s show “The New MVMT,” his music was given two thumbs up as a sound to look for among buzzing rising rappers. 

His most recent singles include “Closer” and “Pressure,” featuring Charli, “Closer” interpolates “Mrs.Officer” by Lil Wayne, who he cites as a significant influence. The overall sound invokes a mixture of Carter 3 and 

YM continues to be a voice in his community, shedding light on issues such as poverty and gun violence. With his strong local support and raw talent, @YM_KBG  is one to watch!
