Texas Rapper WLF.JMS Invites Us Into His World With New Project “WLF.SZN”

[Cover art for WLF.SZN]

Houston, Texas born rapper WLF.JMS just recently popped up on my radar with the release of his new project WLF.SZN. Spanning 7-tracks in length, WLF.JMS is bringing back real rap, with real bars, and making a real impression on the Texas music scene doing so. From top-to-bottom, the project is a consistent body of work, each track flowing into the next perfectly, and embodies WLF.JMS’s overall essence and spirit in the music. One thing that immediately stood out to me was the bouncy production. Compared to everything else coming out of Texas right now WLF.JMS is definitely in his own lane and will easily appeal to the global masses.

Since I’ve had a couple of days to digest the album, so far my favorite track on the project is easily “Spooky“, the hard-hitting 808’s and the lofi melody automatically had my head bopping. If you combine that with WLF.JMS’s low tone flow, it’s exactly the type of song that hits the hardest in the underground music scene. To conclude, WLF.JMS’s potential is limitless and I’m very excited to see what the future has in store for him. Do you think he’s up next out of Texas? Check out the project below, and let us know what you think!
