An Interview With Splashwoe

Was given the opportunity to interview upcoming LA rapper Splashwoe. Splashwoe has been putting in work for years, and he’s about to take over in 2022. Check out our exclusive interview with him below!

Q: What’s good bro, tell the people about yourself!
Splashwoe: Wasspoppin it’s Splashwoe Aka The water boi and allat. thank you guys for tappin in!
I’m an independent artist from LA making something out of myself!! Ima be ur favorite artist one day I promise.

Q: What does the average day look like for you?
Splashwoe: Mann well every day is about being better than the last and doing the things I ain’t do yet ya know? But a typical day consists of me smoking hella weed, playing a lot of music and beats, and catching a wavee!! By nighttime, I’m prolly at the Bape Cave with Jerz working on hits! Then repeat ?
some days we wit homies but I really try and stay busy with my music shit.

Q: Talk to us about your project 20NINETEEN!
Splashwoe: 20NINETEEN IS OUT NOW !! y’all make sure to go check that project out it’s an amazing body of work and I feel like I touched a bunch of genres for a bunch of different listeners. Deluxe coming soon with ILoveMakonnen on it or maybe just the single but yeah I’m finna drop that soon.

2019 was all really music I recorded in the year 2019 which is why I named it that. The role of the project was to catch u guys up on my music !! I have had 500 unreleased songs since 2018 so we have been going thru it and picking out what to release. 20NINETEEN was the 1st group of songs we chose to drop!

Q: What’s the underground scene like in LA?
Splashwoe: It’s cool but I’m not trynna be underground no more man. I feel like ima star. I wanna be mainstream as fuck. Like it’s cool to sell out the Novo, but I wanna sell out a fuckin football stadium and have that whole shit singing my songs. That typa feeling is what I’m chasing. I performed in front of a sold-out show at the Novo don’t get me wrong it’s cool and all but, In the long run, I wanna do bigger things.

Q: Who are some of your inspirations?
Splashwoe: My inspirations are everywhere aha. Back in 2018 it was Fat Nick, Shake Germ, and all them people, but now it’s like Young Thug, Lil Keed, and that wave of things. Very different spectrum of music. Even growing up I was listening to old school rap and r&b wit my pops and different shit with my mom so my inspirations are from a lot.

Q: Would you rather sign or remain independent?
Splashwoe: Well, it really depends on the deal and label. Independent is cool tho.

Q: What are some of your goals for 2022?
Splashwoe: 2022 I’m finna drop a very big record and blow tf up. I have so many hits in the vault it’s crazy. Y’all gon see!

Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
Splashwoe: When I was a kid my pop would play songs over and over until I would memorize them and sing them from start to finish. I guess that got me on the route. He was the 1st person to get me in a studio. I made music in like 6th grade because he wanted me to do something I liked. I have like 10 songs from back then I’ll show the world one day.

Q: Describe your music style.
Splashwoe: I describe myself as the best there is. I feel like I touch all genres of music. I can make pop music to R&B music to hard-ass trap songs or anything in between. I never wanted to be boxed in so I never was! I always tried new stuff and developed a very clean and interesting sound I feel like.

One day the world will see…
