SPECS – “The Slopes” [Video]

Someone sent me this video earlier today and I found myself going back to it a few times and I knew real fast I was going to write about it. Santa Ana, California’s SPECS is making his LOADING MAG debut with a video for “The Slopes” and It definitely caught our attention and put our eye on the Orange County native.

The track and its visuals seem like SPECS is showing us what a day in his hometown of “S.A.” is like. The video shot by Izahi Valencia immediately brings a nostalgic feel with the VHS aesthetic and desaturated colors. It puts more emphasis on the shots themselves and the rapper’s lyrics that start to paint life for him in his hometown over the lo-fi sounding PVL93-produced instrumental.

The laidback vibe of the song and video provide the perfect soundtrack for this quarantine where everyday kinda feels like one of those quiet Sunday afternoons. “The Slopes” is forsure gonna be on repeat here at LOADING, How are y’all feeling about SPECS and his new video? Let us know!
