What started out as a hobby quickly turned into a way of life for 19-year-old Caleb Roddy, a young R&B/ Hip-Hop artist who’s been making his own wave down in Baton Rouge, Louisiana… After spending two years at LSU (Louisiana State University) playing NCAA football as a Defensive End and studying Sports Administration, he decided to follow his passion for making and producing music. Ever since that decision, Roddy has been consistently releasing hits on Soundcloud and has since signed with Loading Magazine MGMT.
Following the success of “Farewell” & “Do What I Want” which amassed thousands of plays online, Roddy built his own home/studio (by hand) where he works 24/7 on his sound preparing for his next project rumored to be dropping next November. Inspired by artists like The Weeknd, Partynextdoor & Travis Scott, Roddy’s sound is an evolved rendition on traditional R&B/Hip-Hop, offering a very nostalgic vibe in his beats guaranteed to get you in your feels.
His signing with Loading Magazine marks a big move for the rising star as they prepare to drop their first track together on Friday, April 6th titled “Morphine” featuring Henny Seear an upcoming rapper out of the U.K. If you haven’t heard of Roddy, well now you have and chances are you’re not going to forget him after listening.
