Recently, I’ve been debating on booking a flight home for a summer trip. I’m only getting older so how many more 4th of July bender can I justify with my friends. Sometimes, I think I’m missing out when I see my old pals back in our old stopping grounds, always going out and having a good time. Am I missing out? Definitely, but I really want to reach my goals and better myself. FOMO is real, but sometimes missing out is just what you need….maybe who knows go with your gut! Eric Penn – Catastrophic (Live)
Eric Penn is a vocalist with immense ability & talent that can’t be duplicated or replicated. His newest release “Catastrophic” is heartwarming and powerful beyond measure, it’s absolutely incredible. Needless to say, this record radiates joy and good energy. Mr. Penn is recently fresh off being selected as a finalist for NPR’s Top Shelf Tiny Desk Contest, Eric’s live offering of Catastrophic creates a new and enticing sonic experience for the novel and returning fan. This is a piece of art for the true music lover, definitely give this one a listen.
Presence is an independent SoCal artist who is perfectly genre-blending melodic rap & story telling hip-hop stylings. Presence recently released his EP titled Pendulum Hearts. This project is 5 cuts in length and tells the story of how a beautiful love story can turn sour, and what the journey is like from start to finish. I was able to get a quote from Presence about his newest project, “Pendulum Hearts is a journey, from an innocent true love to a toxic attachment. There’s a love at play that is extremely unhealthy, but the cycle continues as we break up and make up, swinging back and forth from each other like a pendulum.” This whole project is vulnerable, relatable, and put together so beautifully. Trapsteve really do be trappin, if you know what I mean. This Kentucky boy is really a walking DIY, from recording music, shooting & directing music videos, an acting from time to time, there’s really nothing Steve can’t do. His newest single “Isolated” is the perfect testimony to this lads star power. Off rip, the chords and backing vocals just grab you by the ears. This single is accompanied with a dope visual per usual from Trapsteve & Reid Olash. I really think Trapsteve and his team are on to something special and it’s just a matter of time before it catches fire!
