Over the years, Hip-Hop has actively changed with the times, shaping itself to be whatever it needs to be in the moment. Featuring guest appearances from Mozzy, $tupid Young and HoodTrophy Bino, “Up,” is a high-octane, engaging record that finds Star in the middle of some exciting names and legit talent. Instead of clashing with his guests, he instead takes over duties on the hook until the last verse, cleverly giving everybody the right amount of time to shine. Still, he delivers one of the more exciting verses on the record as he showcases charisma, conviction and an impressive elusiveness when switching through different flows. Pairing the song with the video, which finds the quartet all together genuinely enjoying each other’s verses, “Up,” stands as one of the more exciting releases of the late year.
