Oliver Francis Creates A New Radio Station With “Oli FM”

As a huge Oliver Francis fan, he has always been onto something interesting, I feel with his style of music he does what he wants to make, making him very particular with how everything comes. Which makes each drop that more special because you know he has put a lot of thought into this. A few things stood out to me about this project, obviously with the view of him creating his radio channel with hearing “Oli FM” at the start of each track, giving it that feel of listening to the radio in your car without all the annoying breaks in-between. This way you just get 100% Oliver Francis. Another thing that stuck out to me which made all of this so interesting, is how he seems to put his outro/goodbye message as the second last song. Letting that be the personal message to his fans than giving them one last song. To me, this song “MOB” is easily the most stand-out track, creating a catchy hook that makes it stay in your head all day.

Overall as a project, this was such an interesting perspective because it made it more of a feel-good, heartwarming piece. Since he went into the little detail of having different radio slogans at the beginning of the song, creating the goodbye message for his fans and lining each song in a particular way. It makes me think of this might stand out to other artists having them create more thought-out projects like this. I know when an artist comes to a project they want to make it as special as they can for the fans, this just opened doors to me. I’m always excited to see what Oliver has next but I hope this creates a new path for artists making projects.
