Malcolm Todd Is Tiptoeing In His Shower Shoes
I first came across the LA native, Malcolm Todd when he dropped his single “What’s Up”, released at the top of this year. Malcolm has been busy at work since, releasing and array of tunes leading up to his newly released Ep titled Shower Shoes. The project is 6 cuts in length and filled with tons of flavor, with 3 of the records being brand new. The lead-up singles were “What’s Up”, “Mac”, and Todd’s newest single “Intercourse”. Malcolm does a beautiful job at genre-blending Alternative, RnB, and Soul stylings together to create his own unique indie sound. I’d also like to note Todd is not to be played with when it comes to writing, and deserves his flowers. He is indeed a wordsmith that is creating relatable records about break-ups, life, and love. Shower Shoes, I presume embodies were Malcolm currently is with life right now, and what transpired to get him there. It’s the perfect introduction to Malcolm Todd and his music. The newest cuts on the project are “Lovebird”, “Sloww”, and “So long”. This project is my favorite body of work released thus far in 2023, I highly recommend it to everyone.
