Southern California is home to a lot of rising stars in the music industry and Krishi is a part of that group of new wave artists who dance the line between hip hop and r&b and does it like the best of them. From his smooth delivery and catchy lyrics, Krishi has the formula to blow up and it’s only a matter of time before he does just that. 

The hip hop and r&b artist from Anaheim, California currently resides in Rancho Cucamonga, California because of the incredible resources to the music industry the city presents for him. The city of Anaheim was where the music dream was born, at the early age of 13, it all started with some freestyles with friends and cousins. Then being 14 and starting to catalog his lyrics in a notebook in a notebook in the back of the class, like something out of a movie. Once people started realizing his talents, people started hitting him up for lyrics. He states, “I started composing music for other young artists that would struggle with the writing part, then I started getting 10-15 messages a day from the artist to get their song written by me.” Which for some at a young age could’ve been a bit nerve-wracking, Krishi stepped up to the challenge and delivered. With many factors stacking up against him with family and financial issues, he took to the booth and delivered an instant sound cloud hit with almost no marketing involved. 

While his sound has been compared to the likes of NAV, he cites a lot of his inspiration musically has come from not only NAV, but also J. Cole and J.I.D. When asked what drew him to music and why it was his passion, he simply put, “music has always had a strong emotional connection with me. Music, in my opinion, brings out the genuine feelings of speech.” 

“Through the Fire and Flames” the EP is releasing in mid-November, while his first full length album will be released in January of 2022.
