Lil Baby & Lil Durk Team Up For “The Voice of the Heroes” Album
Two of this generation of rap’s heavyhitters, Lil Baby & Lil Durk have released their joint album, “The Voice of the Heroes”. With 18 tracks and only 4 features, the Atlanta native and Chicago drill icon make their impact and certainly hold their own on the project.
The album features production from Wheezy, London on da Track, ATL Jacob, Murda Beatz, Turbo, and more. Baby and Durk recruited Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Young Thug, and Rod Wave for the project. Most of the songs have a similar sound but that isn’t bad because both emcees hunger is felt from the intro and title track “Voice of the Heroes” to the closer “Bruised Up”. The standout tracks on the album are “Still Runnin” with Meek Mill, the Wheezy-produced “Thats Facts”, and “Make It Out”, just to name a few. The entire project is definitely worth a spin.
The chemistry they have makes the 1 hour run time feel like nothing. The entire album is necessary and there is not one track on here that doesn’t have its place. This is definitely one of the better projects of the year and one of the best collab projects in the last few years. We’ll have this whole album on repeat for a good while.
