An Interview With: KushPackCris

Q: What’s good bro! Tell us a little bit about yourself!
Cris: Whats Poppin with ya I go By KushPackCris. CT born and raised but imma DDDallasHoodstar & TSF representer & a BluePrint Boy.

Q: Describe the music scene in Dallas
CRIS: The Musik scene in DFW right now is BEEF oriented but overall we have every kind of music u could imagine. DFW is turning up right now especially after the passing of NAWF Dallas Legend MO3. Also music in Dallas is like a Trap House if u constantly got good shit they gonna come back and shop, it’s a consumer-based metroplex with tons of fans.

Q: Who are some creatives that you work with?
CRIS: As of right now I mainly work with TSF artists like The Real Drippy, Lil Dirty Cup, Lil Sauce White & TSF One Punch. I’ve dropped songs with artists like BandGang LonnieBands but I also have a ton of music in da vault with great artists like Max Winds and Jay Citee outta Marcy Projects in Brooklyn. But overall I work with anyone and everyone that has any kind of budget. Producer wise I got tracks produced by June the Jenius , Can’t Rush The Vibe , Fredonem , and my personal producers G Cozy, Ruthlessx3, Mikcraw & Kenshi Beats. But some of the most important people are the bloggers and videographers like Sperry Springer, Mo Visuals, Mellow Vision, HalfPint films, Dirty Glove Bastard Out of Detroit Helped me a lot & of course Loading Magazine.

Q: When did you realize music is your calling?
CRIS: MAAAANNNNN i been rappin on the block since I was a little youth. My moms was a big Jay-Z and Biggie Fan & I used two be 3-4 years old rapping all the lyrics and dressing like them since then I always said I wanted to be a rapper. Music/Rap/Artistry has been a major part of my life. But in HS I dropped my first tape and the whole bity went Krazy. From there I started getting booked to open for artists like Playboi Carti, GunPlay MMG, Migos, 21 Savage, Curren$y, and any other artist that came to the Bity, this was early 2013-2015. After I went to jail in 2016 I got out and was introduced to the East Memphis Boys (X wulf , TA double dolla, IDK Jefffery & Black Smurf). We did a few shows I even did a TX tour w the Suicide Boys. But yeah everything just started falling into place you splash me. I was even on No Jumper from during the EastMemphis Boyz Tour.

Q: What’s one important lesson you’ve learned during your time as an artist?
CRIS: THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I LEARNED AS AN ARTIST IS TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, INVEST IN YOURSELF, AND BE CONSISTENT.

Q: Who are some people you look up to?
CRIS: Jay-Z, Sauce Walka, Meek Mill, Wiz Khalifa,Young Dolph (R.I.P) & The niggas from my hood that put me on game and showed me how to get paid.

Q: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
CRIS: In the next 5 years, I see myself in every home in the Universe. From ya radios to CDs to your TV screen I KANT be stopped by anything right now and my goals are different from everyone else’s goals because I NEVER PLAN TO FAIL.

Q: Are you working on anything right now?

CRIS: AND FOR MY FINAL MAGIK TRICK I GOT 3 NEW PROJECTS ON THE WAY
