Kg Prince Switches up his tone with “ithinkimightdietonight”
Kg Prince recently released a music video for his song “ithinkimightdietonight.” if you look at his most recent drops, you’ll see that he’s been on a hot streak of high-energy bangers that feature-Glo-gang-like production with a bit of Kg sauce. But “ithinkimightdietonight,” if you can’t already tell by the title, is more somber and heartfelt than his last three drops.
Like many of his videos, Kg went for a VHS effect on the entirety of the video in hopes that it’ll create a reminiscent feel. The video was filmed in a wooded area, and behind-the-scenes photos can be seen in the attached Instagram post above. The setting of the video matches the vibe of the song perfectly. The darkness of the woods and the darkness behind the lyrics match each other well and make for a cohesive experience overall.
In the last couple of drops, Kg has predominantly been making moshpitable music. Songs like “blitz,” “could never Z me lol,” and “fin<zta” are high-energy songs that have heavy bass. “ithinkimightdietonight” is the exact opposite. Instead, kg Prince dives deep into his emotions and spills his heart out over this low-guitar melody. It’s a great song and is well worth a listen.
