Kai Ca$h’s “711” Deluxe is a Breath of Fresh Air
New Era Signee’s five-track deluxe for his EP “711” is an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring every sound that the grittier side of hip-hop has to offer. On the project, Ca$h delivers everything from his take on NYC drill on “Never Easy” to more menacing tracks like the CEO Trayle assisted cuts “Back Doe” and “Helen Keller”. However, there are tracks on this project that are more laid back like “Blue” whose beat is still hard-hitting but drifts through the song as opposed to pounding every lyric
The deluxe is a much-needed reprieve from the barely on key melodic hip-hop that is currently saturating the rap market. Ca$h’s mature yet gut-punching sound bridges the gap between street rap and the more pensive hip-hop that dominated the early 2010s. “711” deluxe is below!
