Studio Stupendous wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for a huge life change for Jay Rivera. Originally a bicycle racer Jay removed himself from the cycling world after a near fatal accident involving a car almost took his life. Luckily making a full recovery Jay took off to venture the world after buying himself a camera. Once back in the states he decided to make the push and reinvent himself.
After a run doing magazine editorials in his downtown LA living room for the first two years of the pandemic he quickly shifted gears to secure a commercial space. Thus Studio Stupendous, a brainchild of his, was born. A photo/video studio by day and an event space by night. Jay manifested himself a safe space for creatives with no means of boundaries or walls, a place where you can drop your guard and ask questions and learn things along the way.
With upcoming showcases and galleries like the Santee Art Gala, and a push forward with Studio 101, an empowering art movement focused on the young POC creatives, there’s lots to come with Studio Stupendous. For more information regarding showcases check out the links down below.
