Izye drops therapeutic debut project “F**k Boys, Get Money!!!”

Izye is a singer you need to add to your rotation if you haven’t already, and her debut album F**k Boys, Get Money!!! is sure to be at the top of every girl’s breakup playlist.  The Bay Area native only released two singles throughout most of 2022, but is turning up the heat with this latest project, which dropped back on November 28.

After going through a breakup herself, Izye turned to the booth to get her true feelings out and lay down some incredible tracks that mix elements of R&B, trap fusion, pop, and hip hop together.  This amalgamation of styles makes for a truly unique listening experience, one that was just as therapeutic for the artist as the listener.

“It was therapy for me,” said Izye.  “[It’s] all about self love, heartbreak, and learning to love your inner baddie.”

Izye enlisted several talented producers to solidify the sound she was looking for, with the likes of KundoCrankin, CroCooks, Angel Chavarro, Sam Trenton, all assisting with the album’s production and Joni Myllari from Green Tea Studios in LA helped mix & master the EP, which she says came together rather quickly.

“I made this project really unexpectedly, like I wasn’t planning on making an album,” she added.  “Every time I wanted to text or call him, I would go to the studio and make a song or a beat with Kundo.  Next thing I knew, I had a project!”

Izye’s next moves include more live performances, video shoots, and collaborations with other artists, but overall she says that her main focus is on pumping out singles for the time being.  Stay on the lookout for Izye, because 2023 is shaping up to be a big year for this up and coming R&B star.
