Hailing from the DMV, Inkay2x is one of the area’s hidden talents. Taking influences from various artists musically and aesthetically, the rising artist is coming into his own sound, with catchy melodies and lyrics that speak directly to the souls of his listeners.
In 2018 Inkay released his Superstar EP, which while a raw project showcased the early potential he had as an artist. Now a little over two years later, Inkay releases II, a project that seems like a polar opposite of his first one. On the project, he tackles various topics such as self-doubt, realization, and relationships; while also providing a few fun and high-energy cuts like “I Like Em Ratchet” and “Victorious.” The project has one feature from Ashley Estes, whose powerful voice paired with Inkay’s equally strong lyricism makes “In God We Trust” a favorite from the project.
