Hollywood Cobain Gives Valentine’s Day The Middle Finger Via ‘What You Needed’ Music Video

Valentine’s Day isn’t going to get in the way of Singer and Songwriter Hollywood Cobain, who is delivering the anthem for break ups.

Taken from his recent Dystopia album, Hollywood Cobain drops off the video for his “Anti-Valentine’s Day” banger “What You Needed.”

Directed by ChekTheCredits, who shot the visual at a theme park in Orlando, Hollywood Cobain’s “What You Needed” turns fun-loving date night turns into a nightmarish toxic episode of mind games.

As the multi-genre-straddling production from Encore Beats rolls along throughout the track, Hollywood Cobain guides listeners straight into their feels as he weaves themes of angst and regret into his reflective cadence-driven rap-sung bars.

“I tried to do you right/ I guess I got it wrong/So fuck it I cant’t text/I put it in a song,” he raps.

With the release of the cinematic video for “What You Needed” Hollywood Cobain is already on pace to match the highlight-reel year he manifested in 2021. In addition to delivering his fan-favorite “Playa” single, which accumulated well over one million streams, Hollywood Cobain also got in his producer bag and worked with EMPIRE signee J-Haze along with Texas rap legend Lil Flip

Hollywood Cobain also linked up with several other trending artists last year including combat veteran lyricist The Marine Rapper and red-hot Orlando rapper Dave From The Grave.

Home to his popular deep cut “Zombie” Hollywood Cobain’s 12-song Dysphoria album has a vibe perfect for any frequency life may throw out at any given point. Hollywood Cobain previously explained how the album serves as his interpretation of heartbreak and pain through the interpersonal lens of music.
