Harvey Brittain shares engaging new single “Honest”

Hailing from the UK, rising vocalist Harvey Brittain has been slowly but surely crafting a
substantial following. Splitting his time between Boston and the UK, Harvey has taken
advantage of his large reach by endearing himself in both scenes through utilizing a sense of
empathy with listeners via relatable lyrics. Looking to take his exposure a step further, the
ascending singer checks into our pages for the first time with his festive new single, “Honest.”

Produced by Max Harris, “Honest,” at first listen sounds like one big party. Set to the tone of
thumping drum kicks, dizzying synths and towering piano runs, the vibe of the record initially
feels sunny and care-free until you take a listen to the lyrics. One-liners like, “Do you remember
the last time you told the truth?” are punctuated by the gut-punching chorus in which Harvey
doubles down, “Cause you can’t tell the truth, oh, I feel it in my bones. It’s screaming from my
soul, we’ve got no where to go.” Utilizing his strong vocal range, Harvey belts out the sobering
lyrics with ease and so much charisma that the combination of him and the feel-good production
can sneakily make one think it’s a happy song, when it’s completely the opposite.
