FlyRich Double Says Chief Keef Inspired His Country Rap Hit

Mississippi-bred rapper FlyRich Double is opening up about his success making music for the Country Rap sub-genre.

In his new interview with the Diversity Mentality podcast, FlyRich Double reveals how Chief Keef inspired his hit song “Yup (On My Tractor).”

“Influences I had like Chief Keef, so yeah he had that song ‘Love Sosa’ yeah and I got on the track like I would want to make something like in that same cadence,” FlyRich Double began. “And I was doing these little skits so like acting like a country person and I was reacting to it I was getting a lot of views I’m like what if I can put this in the sun and see what it do so I did that and I went to sleep woke up it was like like look at all these views like what in the world that’s crazy we had to go drop it get the beat remade so we can get some money off it like we went through so much stuff man.”

With nearly one million views on YouTube “Yup (On My Tractor)” is one of FlyRich Double’s most popular releases to date.

FlyRich Double went on to discuss his 2019 project The Hick Hop Album, how he blueprinted the meme-marketing strategy Lil Nas X used for “Old Town Road” and more.
