Q: What’s up bro! Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Ed Riley: Ayy what’s good, My name is Ed Riley I’m a producer/singer/songwriter from
Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Q: Describe the music scene in Winnipeg.
Ed Riley: Different, Couldn’t really describe it to you… lots of talent though
Q: Do you find it difficult to break out of a city that has almost no leverage on the
industry side of things?
Ed Riley: I guess it definitely has its limitations I can’t lie, but anything is possible
bro the internet be wildin’
Q: Who are some of your musical influences?
Ed Riley: I came up off of 90’s RnB & Old Dub so that’s def my biggest inspo, but lowkey…
Shit like Joy Division/David Bowie/Pearl Jam made me tap in on my more emo
side you could say.. Buttt 50 cent & Timberland are highkey my heroes.
Q: What is your favorite body of work and why?
Ed Riley: Hard question, I make albums/projects/songs primarily around a certain time
period in my life, some of those I rather forget. Probably this upcoming project
I’m working on it though, I’ve never been more sure of my words and proud of my
own work
Q: What is one important thing you’ve learned about the music industry since you’ve
started making music?
Ed Riley: Stay humble, we are all just people.
Q: Would your rather sign or remain independent?
Ed Riley: No idea bro idec, I just wanna make timeless music
Q: What are some things you’ve got planned out for the future?
Ed Riley: Couple new Singles/Videos for this upcoming project, Hopefully booking more
shows and just having fun with it yenno, day by day
