Don Carti, Rising Carolina Name Gears up for Project Release
Woodrow, South Carolina artist, Don Carti who first started making music in 2017, has since then been consistently carving a place for himself in the rising Carolina rap community. I became aware of Don Carti through the promotion of his collaboration project “Take 1” with FGM Reese. With a solid rollout, they pushed an 8 track project with unique sounds and production.
His single release “Let Me Know” released exclusively on AudioMack provides an upbeat sound and bouncy percussion under his grimy but versatile style. Don Carti shows his wordplay in this track with his line “I feel like Elvis with this chopper, b*tch yeah, we can rock and roll” and glides over the unique beat produced by Marvin Beats.
In addition to his single “Let Me Know,” and as mentioned earlier, his collaboration project between him and FGM Reese is a project definitely worth listen. Him and Reese show their chemistry and ability to work and feed off of each other in the studio. While “Let Me Know” showcases his ability to craft catchy and fire raps, “Take 1” definitely shows his ability to showcase more of the melodic side of his side. Don Carti has found a way to be unique and consistent enough to catch my eye and because of that he should definitely be on your radar from now on.
In addition to staying consistent on his singles and projects, he also collaborates frequently with Leek Filmz and they have been steady with providing high quality visuals to aide in capturing his sound.
Next for Don Carti is his project “Street Poet.” If you’re music taste is anything like mine, then you definitely should check Don Carti out and follow him on social media with the links below.
