Atlanta is always feeding us new acts & talents, and today is no different. Recently a good friend of mine sent some tunes over that really caught my attention, the artist was going by the name of DariusJay. Jay is an ATL native, who is 24 years young and multi-talented! Not only does Jay rap, but he also produces all of his own music. Having similar musical stylings of fellow ATL natives, Childish Gambino & Pi’erre Bourne, DariusJay is ready to be the new face of Atlanta. Jay recently dropped a project titled FourForFun, entirely produced by himself. It’s honestly been along time since I’ve seen an up-coming artist self-produce an entire project himself, not to mention have the whole body of work slap! FourForFun is 4 tracks in length and features fellow rising ATL artists such as, DavidTheTragic, MuddyMya, and Trajon. There’s a lot of variety & flavor on this project, there’s really a song for everybody. My favorite cuts have to be, “Run It” featuring MuddyMya & “Up2You” featuring Trajon.
