LA-based artist Brooke Williams has shared a new single and video called “happy 4 you.” Containing powerful, expansive sonics and sharply-crafted songwriting from Williams, “happy 4 you” is an evocative release overall. A new visual for the track, shot by Andrew & Laura with Good X Studios, provides an elegant, nocturnal accompaniment, making for a cohesive offering that continues Williams’ run of engaging, versatile releases.

The instrumental for “happy 4 you” is cathartic and expansive, containing raw, ethereal effects that merge with warm pads and rich bass to create a strong foundation for Williams’ dream-like melodies. Atop the lush soundscape, she delivers a series of dynamic melodies that build enticingly throughout her verses, before reaching a pinnacle of emotion for a cathartic chorus.

The accompanying visual, shot by Andrew & Laura with Good X Studios, captures the song’s kaleidoscopic sound through captivating shots that utilize moody, raw coloration and a textural look effectively. Throughout the video, Williams gives an evocative performance that adds an element of performance art to the release.

LA-based songwriter and artist Brooke Williams began writing music at age seven, drawing her love of the craft from a diverse range of influences – from Aretha Franklin and Dolly Parton to Aqua and Kanye. After just one single release, Brooke was found on Spotify by Snafu Records co-founder Ankit Desai and flown out to Stockholm, where she collaborated with acclaimed songwriters and producers, including Carl Falk (Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Ellie Goulding) and Albin Nedler (Avicii, Martin Garrix, One Direction). Together, they wrote Brooke’s debut single “Art of Pretending,” released through Arista Records. Brooke has since written songs for artists including AOA (Virgin), IV Jay (Atlantic), Tritonal, TVXQ! (SM Entertainment), Mishcatt, Shuba, KINGS and most recent collaboration, Big Gigantic. You also may have heard some of her songs on shows like Selling Sunset, UFC and the most recent Starz promo. She’s currently working on her solo project and can’t wait to release new music.
