“Real life experiences, where I grew up, the environment I grew up in, how I was raised, and who raised me.” That’s what Los Angeles-born artist BrokeTilFriday has to say about his musical inspiration; the source lies at home. BrokeTilFriday, born Kevin Jackson, Jr., was just 24 years old when he made the decision to jump headfirst into the world of music, and it’s difficult to believe that it’s only been 18 months since the artist began making and putting out his work. With the release of his new visual and single “Back 2 Bowlero” on his latest EP “In My Feelings”, listeners can rest assured that BrokeTilFriday is here to stay. 

Real and full of harmony, BrokeTilFriday is committed to keeping his music relatable. The key to that relatability has always been his authenticity. “I’m just a unique, original artist who is in love with being himself,” he says about his style and philosophy. “I feel like everyone can relate to being at their lowest point and striving for something better.” Already having collaborated with G Perico and on track to release and perform even more music, his short term goals are to reach personal success. His long term goals, however, involve signing artists and helping young artists like himself with his label, BrokeTilFriday Records. Indeed, as an active member of his community, BrokeTilFriday is all about giving back. “It’s important to pay it forward, to give back to the community that you came from,” he says. “It gives people hope to realize they can make it out too.” 

“What goes around, comes around” is one of BrokeTilFriday’s life mottos and practices. In the meantime, he’s staying focused on the way up. “One day, I’ll be in a room with the greats,” he says. With his EP “In My Feelings” and the latest release of his single and visual for “Back 2 Bowlero”, he’s right about that.
