Legendary American keyboardist’s music has been sampled by over 1,500 artists including the Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface Killah, A$AP Rocky and countless others.

James recently added over 20-tracks from his discography to music licensing service Tracklib and is now joining forces with veteran producer and music executive 9th Wonder for an epic challenge.

The Grammy Award-winning instrumentalist is hosting a Tracklib Beat Battle to flip his iconic “Nautilus” record for a chance to win a one-one-one session with 9th Wonder and a year long subscription to Tracklib, along with several software goodies and priceless gifts.

Detailed guidelines of the competition can be found here, along with an outline of the competition as follows below;

1. Make a beat by sampling ‘Nautilus‘ by Bob James
2. Upload a video of your beat to Instagram (max 60 seconds) before the end of the day, Sunday the 14th of March, 2021 (all timezones included)
3. Include your Tracklib account username or email in the description of the Instagram post

5. Tag at least two producer friends in your post who shouldn’t miss out on this Beat Battle
