Sacramento’s 5G Drops New Single “Talk To Me Nicely” Featuring Drilla
Let me introduce you guys to 5G a 23-year-old rapper from Sacramento, California. He has only been making music for two years, but his quality might suggest he has been making music his entire life. I just got put onto his new single “Talk To Me Nicely” featuring Drilla. The song has insane synth heavy production from Mo Beats which lays the foundation for the two spit about all of the problems with being a ‘playa’ in today’s age. The two page homage to Playboi Carti’s song “woke up like this”, “Oh I think they like me, in my white tee” which fits the vibe of the song effortlessly. The music video which was directed by Jackson Bert features 5G and Drilla in a glitched out landscape while the two talk their shit in style.
Rap in 2022 has been pretty redundant lately, but when I first heard this song it reminded me of why I fell in love with the underground rap scene. Artists like 5G are one in a million and are keeping the game exciting for bloggers and journalists like me, so for that I’m thankful. I’ll attach the music video link below, as well as a Spotify link if you want to add it to your playlists! Thanks for reading.
